Thank you so much for all the guidance you have shown me during my time at ArtCenter. GX is very lucky to have such a strong leader at the helm of the ship. You showed us that graphic design isn’t just grids and fonts, but that it's historical context, praxis, and a healthy dose of sarcasm to boot. Thank you for letting me personally learn from you up close and for all the opportunities at school I participated in due to your unwavering dedication to the students in our major.
Being a teacher and devoting your time to helping others learn is a gift in-and-of-itself. But being a teacher who does that, leads by example, and is in the trenches with the students is a whole other thing. It’s special and we’re lucky to have you. I think it's safe to say my time at ArtCenter wouldn't have been the same had you not been our Chair. Thank you again Sean for everything, you're truly the best. With gratitude, Abby.
